About the Position
This role serves to primarily provide coordination support in the recruitment process, including job posting, screening applicant resumes, interview coordination, preparing offers, conducting reference checks, background checks, onboarding and orientation activities. This position may provide project and logistics support to the Talent Acquisition team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment
- Coordinate recruitment cycle including review and posting jobs on various sites, support with resume screening, conducting reference checks, background checks, and creating job offers.
- Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates.
- Maintain complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by legislation and policies.
- Tracks posting and vendor-related expenses and ensures distribution of invoices as needed.
- Obtains translation services for French job postings as required.
- Manages and maintains recruiting documents, templates and records (electronic files, shared directories) efficiently and effectively, ensuring data/documentation integrity and ease of reference or retrieval.
Orientation and Onboarding
- Initiates onboarding process tracking that all required elements, including the offer letter sign off, policy acknowledgements. criminal records check results and payroll documentation has been completed.
- Assists with new employee orientation events, logistics and surveys.
- Supports onboarding projects for THQ employees and territorial onboarding and orientation initiatives.
Analytics and Special Projects
- Performs operational/situational analysis and develops recommendations and documentation to support administrative and communication process improvements.
- Participates in HR projects as assigned (i.e. ATS implementation, development of HR Orientation Program, digitalization of employee files, etc.).
- Provides reports to TA leadership on Talent Acquisition metrics, tracking trends and highlighting areas for improvement.
Talent Acquisition Coordination Support
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
- Provide professional and confidential support.
- Plan, schedule and manage logistics related to meetings and events.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary school education of 2 years, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- 2-5 years’ experience in a HR/Talent Acquisition Coordinator or senior administrative position.
- Superior attention to detail and process/process improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proactive with ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Proven sound judgement and an ability to exercise high levels of tact and diplomacy with confidential and/or sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in French speaking, comprehension, and writing is considered an asset.
- Ability work within the mandate of and support the Mission of The Salvation Army.
- Willingness to travel occasionally across the territory.
Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $43,741 to $54,677 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $65,612. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
