Men’s Residential Services Program ensuring strategic, operational, business and implementation planning for safe, effective, and efficient provision of faith focused services.

Responsibilities

Here's how you will contribute to the program:  

  • Conducting client intakes interviews, assessments, and follow-up
  • Responds to inquiries and provides suggestions/information on resources and referrals
  • Provides client support using a variety of strategies based on client need
  • Work with clients to set goals and contracts regarding behavior concerns, rental arrears, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with community agencies to resolve client concerns
  • Enters and maintains statistical data, files, documents and completes reporting requirements

Qualifications

What you need to get an interview:

  • Diploma or degree in a related social services field
  • Experience of one – three years, including frontline casework in a social service environment
  • Experience in case management. Some knowledge of Corrections Service Canada an asset.
  • Good communication, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced highly challenging front line environment.
  • Able to provide services to people in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner, and desire to support the mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check

Candidates with a Social Work education are required to be registered with the ACSW.

Regular Full Time - 40 hours per week
