Responsibilities

Here's how you will contribute to the program:

  • Supervision of clients and property through regular patrols
  • Scheduled inspection rounds, safety/security checks, and monitoring clients/residents
  • Maintaining logbooks and completing occurrence reports
  • Participating in and/or delegating physical searches; ensuring accurate documentation of searches and results in log book
  • Liaising with referral, emergency and other external agencies

Qualifications

What you need to get an interview:

  • Current Security Services License as per Alberta legislation
  • Grade 12 diploma and at least 1 year of related experience including security services
  • Current government approved Standard First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check
  • Able to communicate with others in a clear, concise and, calm manner and in a way that prevents escalation of volatile situations
  • Proficient in written skills to log information on a daily basis and prepare written reports concerning incidents that have occurred on shift
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Desire to support the mission of The Salvation Army’s work in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner
