This is a twelve (12) month temporary fixed term contract position.  Schedule may vary according to requirements of responsibilities – some weekend and evening work will be required.

This position is considered a management position for the purposes of the Employment Standards Act of Ontario and as such is not covered by various ESA rules, including but not limited to those related to hours of work, daily and weekly rest periods and overtime compensation. Salary is based on average minimum 37.5 hours per week. Hours worked are compensated through the annual salary amount.

Normal location of work is at 187 Dalhousie St, Brantford, ON

  • Oversee all aspects of the program operations in accordance with mission and values.
  • Oversee and direct the planning, organization and implementation of case management programs.
  • Liaise with community resources and encourage community involvement.
  • Oversee and support frontline staff in the planning, implementation and continued direction of all program areas.
  • Ensure all documentation and records are completed in an organized and timely manner.
  • Develop appropriate and therapeutic relationships with participants.
  • Prepare and submit reports, proposals, and program evaluations.
  • Develop and implement effective procedures for client intake, etc.
  • Have input into program departmental budget requirements.
  • Hire, orientate, train, evaluate, reward, discipline and terminate in consultation with the Director of Programs.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Provide support and team leadership to staff.
  • Monitor staff safety practices in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Responsible to work in compliance with the Ontario Health & Safety Acts and Regulations.
  • Provide oversight to WSIB claims and other health and safety matters as required.
  • Participate in all Health and Safety related accidents and injury investigations.


  • NOTE: Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Undergraduate University Degree in Human Services field or in Social Work, or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of prior related experience, including experience in a social service setting, supervision, budgeting, working with marginalized clientele; a social services background
  • Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification would be an asset.
  • Required to provide an original copy of a Background Check with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Be able to obtain Corrections Canada clearance through the Enhanced Reliability Screening process.
