Description

HOURS:

  • Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement the summer programmatic elements of camp
  • Resource Cabin Leaders looking with lessons and activities for campers during devotional times.
  • Be a motivational, equipping, encouraging leader, monitoring quality control of the camp program.
  • When staff issues arise, due to relationships or programming in the program seek to resolve the situations.
  • Ensure that staff devotions are coordinated throughout the camping season.
  • Organize time off schedule in consultation with the Regional Youth Coordiantor
  • Ensure that recommendations for needed supplies are directed to the Program Director in a prompt manner.
  • Ensure that all materials needed are purchased for the summer prior to summer camping season.
  • Assure that all required reports and statistics applicable to his/her oversight are completed and submitted as required
  • Facilitate the debrief session for staff at the conclusion of each camp program and evaluate programming changes required
  • Be available for conversations and counseling on spiritual matters with individuals in the camp as needed
  • Complete curfew check for staff as assigned.
  • Participate in camp cleanup at the end of each camp.
  • Be flexible and have a good disposition.
  • Work within the total camp program and cooperate with other staff members.
  • Perform any task beyond those assigned as required.
  • Be available to attend all staff devotions and meetings.
  • Maintain a responsible level of maturity and leadership.
  • Be familiar with Summer Staff Handbook, and all procedures and resources.
  • Attend and facilitate weekly debriefing sessions at the end of each camp
  • Perform any task beyond those assigned as required.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • some university courses in a relevant field

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of camping experience

 

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening
  • A clean drivers abstract
  • Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
