Responsibilities

  • The Store Clerk provides service to customers, sorts incoming products, and assists the manager in the maintenance of all store operations
  • Contributes to meeting store sales
  • Implements store layouts, windows displays, to attract customers
  • Replenishes inventory levels based on Supervisor’s directions
  • Control of inventory by retrieving, sorting, and pricing as directed.  Visually monitor for possible shrinkages
  • Accurate completion of all customer transactions.  (Cash, cheque)
  • Contributes to the safety of all, customers, staff and volunteers.  Keeping fire exits clear, cleans and clears any obstructions or spillage.  Assist in the ‘Tidy Maintenance’ of the store
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • The successful applicant will have graduated High School

NOTE:  An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Current Certification in First Aid/CPR or willing to receiving training
  • Experience in dealing with the general public
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Positive attitude and conflict resolution skills

Successful candidate will be required to provide upon hiring:

  • A clear criminal record check
  • Participate in our online Armatus Abuse Training and Health and Safety training required upon hiring, as well as updated annually

HOURS: 21 hours per week (3 days)
