KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

.       Present a positive image (well-groomed/dressed) and represent TSA well while on duty

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and adaptability.

·       Ability to work with minimal supervision

·       Ability to stand for long periods of time

·       Reliable transportation to kettle location

·       Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays

·       Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures and associated legislation.

·       Treat the property of The Salvation Army with due care and caution.

·       Ability and willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities

·       Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received

·       Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs

·       Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working in customer service
  • Related experience an asset

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

.      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong customer service skills; enjoy liaising and working with people of all ages and abilities

·       Self-motivation

·       Strong service ethic

·       Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in the handling of donor, volunteer and organizational information

·       Respect and understanding of the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army.

Hours of Work:

November 12 to December 24, 2022

Campaign Hours:

Monday – Saturday 10am – 8:00 pm
