Are you energetic and highly organized? Then you will thrive in this position which reports to the Kettle Campaign Coordinator. You will be an integral team member of The Salvation Army’s Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.

Responsibilities

Here's how you will contribute to the program:

  • Daily communication with Campaign Coordinator and Assistant Campaign Coordinator
  • Supervise and provide breaks to volunteers in multiple locations
  • Track and submit paperwork as required; including timesheets, expenses and daily logs
  • Frequent transporting of kettle stands, driving and occasionally hosting kettles
  • Restock kettle locations with supplies such as candy canes, and information cards on a daily basis
  • Provide timely pick-up and delivery of the donations from various Kettle locations, when needed, to the Community Services
  • Assist with other duties as necessary

Qualifications

What you need to get an interview:

  • At least one year of experience of working with volunteers
  • Able and willing to work on Saturdays and occasional Sundays
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Capacity to retain large amounts of information
  • Valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle (must be able to drive in the snow)
  • Use of a mobile phone with ability to send and receive texts
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check
  • Knowledge and interest in the programs and services this campaign
  • Desire to support the mission and core values of The Salvation Army

Temporary Full Time position – 39 hours per week (Monday to Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional Sundays)
