Responsibilities

Here's how you will contribute to the program:

  • Manages all day to day logistics of annual Christmas Kettle Campaign
  • Assists the Community Ministries Manager with recruitment, scheduling and supervision of Kettle Campaign staff
  • Maintains and enhances relationships with businesses that support the Kettle Campaign
  • Recruitment and scheduling of volunteers
  • Ensures the Kettle Campaign reflects the values, standards, and philosophy of The Salvation Army

Qualifications

Here are highlights of the requirements you need to get an interview:

  • At least two years of volunteer management experience
  • Experience scheduling and supervising more than 15 staff
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
  • Exemplifies high standards of integrity, judgement and confidentiality
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Has strong problem solving abilities and able to think quickly, deal with stressful situations, and demonstrate decision making skills
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable 3 year Drivers Abstract
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check

Temporary Full Time position – Until Kettle Campaign begins, works Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00 pm. Once Kettle Campaign begins mid-November, works Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00 pm plus Saturdays 10:30am to 2:30pm with occasional Sundays. Expected last date of employment is January 24, 2020.
