This is a temporary, seasonal position based on 35 hours per week. Shifts will include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, and split shifts, Monday through Saturday. Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification. Travel is associated with this position.

  • Recruit volunteers
  • Maintain an updated Volunteer data base
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Churches, local businesses and agencies
  • Assist in securing existing & new kettle locations
  • Assist Kettle Coordinator when meeting with Corporate/Club volunteers at kettle locations
  • Assist Kettle Coordinator with other duties as assigned


  • Understand, agree to, and be able to work in accordance with the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army
  • Minimum 1 year experience in volunteer coordination
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent people leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highly professional
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team oriented setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and with ease, in English (both orally and written)
  • Experience with general office equipment and a good working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid G driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract

 Successful candidate will be required to provide upon hiring:

  • A clear vulnerable sector screening
  • A clean drivers abstract
  • Participate in our online Armatus Abuse Training and Health and Safety training required upon hiring, as well as updated annually
