Description

The Christmas Kettle Campaign Coordinator ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the Kettle Campaign, maximizing donations and coordinating kettle coverage.

Travel within city will be required, therefore must have access to own vehicle

This is a temporary position until December 23rd 2019. The hours of work and work schedule will vary as per the operational requirements therefore, flexibility in work schedule is required, as work hours need to meet the Christmas Kettle Campaign operational requirements: shifts will include days, afternoons, evening, weekend shifts and split shifts, Monday through Saturday.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include oversight of kettle locations and ensuring supply of materials; recruiting, scheduling and overseeing kettle volunteers; assist with accounting, reporting, and maintaining records of donations received.

Qualifications

  • Completed High School or equivalent
  • One year experience overseeing volunteers
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in office administration, with general office equipment, and strong working skills and experience using MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting
  • Support for and an understanding of the mission and the purpose of The Salvation Army

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

    • Background check consent
    • Criminal Record Check
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Clean driver’s abstract
