The Administrative Support Worker provides support to Saskatoon Temple Community and Family Services on a temporary basis from November 6th to December 22nd. This includes but is not limited to answering phones, data input and interacting with program participants, volunteers, donors and clients as is required.

- 37.5 hours per week
- 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support for the daily activities of Community and Family Services during the Christmas Season.
- Provide support to clients and donors by directing inquires appropriately.
- Receive, process, and record all incoming donations.
- Record statistical data in a clear, organized, and accurate manner.
- Greet program participants, volunteers, donors and clients upon arrival.
- Sign in and sign out program participants.
- Answer phone and walk in inquiries as required.
- Direct inquiries as is appropriate.
- Complete data entry of client files.
- Perform other position related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Completed at least two years of Secondary School.
- Valid Driver’s License, own vehicle required and insurance, current copy of driver’s abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
- Must provide an original copy of a Background Check that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required. The screening is secured either through the national Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) or through a local police detachment.
- May require screening through The Salvation Army Abuse Registry.
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year of prior related experience working in community-based programs would be a definite asset.
- Proficient in working in a computerized environment; must demonstrate strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point.
Working Conditions:
- This is a temporary seasonal full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week.
- Hours will be 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
- Includes a ½ hour unpaid meal-break where applicable.
- Flexibility is required as it relates to hours of work and scheduling.
- The Supervisor will set the hours of work and work schedule.
- Ability to lift/move more than 40 lbs. (18.144 kgs).
- May be required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification.
- Some travel within Saskatoon may be associated with this position.
