Position Description

The Admin and Event Coordinator leads and coordinates all administrative duties and coordinates special events/fundraisers at the unit.

Responsibilities

  • Process and approve regular invoices.
  • Receive, deposit, and receipt donations.
  • Responsible for payroll and benefits administration.
  • Record keeping and file updating.
  • Provide customer services.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required.
  • Assist in the planning, facilitating, and coordination of special events.
  • Coordinate Christmas Kettle Fundraiser.
  • Assist in recruitment and orientation of volunteers.
  • Maintain social media presence.
  • Update ministry website.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/certifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration/ event planning.

Experience

  • Experience in business administration/event planning

Required skills/knowledge

  • Organizing skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Hours

  • 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent.
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening.
  • A clean driver abstract.
  • First Aid training certification.
