A parking-tickets-for-toys Christmas gift drive at the Salvation Army was a huge hit today at the Vancouver depot.

Impark offered a four-hour amnesty Thursday morning for anyone with unpaid parking tickets as long as they donated a toy to the downtown charity.

Just before the end of the four hours, ticket scofflaw/Santas had brought in 2,278 toys, said Salvation Army Maj. Brian Venables.
