A group of students from Leaside High School in Toronto were given the task of building a festive gingerbread house and delivering it to a charitable organization that has made a difference in their local community.

Twincy, Heidi, Miranda and Ayanna chose to “Pay it Forward” to The Salvation Army.

“Paying if forward means doing something nice for someone without expecting anything in return,” says the group of four.  “We have chosen your organization to deliver our gingerbread house to as a small gift for your generosity. We sincerely appreciate your compassion, respect, and integrity that you constantly illustrate in our community as you feed people in need and help those in poverty.”

The Salvation Army is grateful for the support of the students and to all who make it possible for us to assist those in need during the Christmas season and throughout the year.
