A faith-driven organization shaped by our Christian beliefs, The Salvation Army provides a wide range of social services to anyone and everyone who requires our assistance. In fact, last year the lives of 1.6 million Canadians were transformed in the 400 communities in which we serve across Canada.

As one of the largest direct providers of social services in Canada, we believe that everyone needs an army—to know they’re not alone in their time of need. Whether that means shelter from the cold, emergency food following a disaster or supporting an addict with a personalized journey to recovery, we give people the tools needed to rebuild dignity and renew hope.

The Salvation Army began its work in Canada in 1882, serving the vulnerable when no one else would. As the world continues to change, The Salvation Army’s programs and services matter more than ever.
