For more than 130 years, The Salvation Army has been dedicated to meeting the needs of the communities we serve. While the times have changed, the need hasn\u2019t. Each day, new people turn to The Salvation Army and receive more than practical assistance \u2013 they receive hope.

\u201cI believe in what The Salvation Army does\u201d
\n<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For Jane Redding, there was no doubt in her mind that she would include The Salvation Army in her will.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Back in 1930, when her father was alone, hungry and experiencing homelessness, he turned to The Salvation Army in Yarmouth. Here, he was given food, shelter and directed toward a job opportunity \u2013 which led him to his 40 year career as a sailor.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI believe in what The Salvation Army does,\u201d says Jane. \u201cThey are all about helping people who are left out. I think that\u2019s important and it touches my heart.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGiving through my will gives me satisfaction\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While her father passed away when she was young, Jane will always remember The Salvation Army and the impact the help had on her father\u2019s life and her future.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEven though I don\u2019t help The Salvation Army hands-on, giving through my will gives me that same satisfaction that I\u2019m making a difference through the lives of children and communities,\u201d says Jane.<\/span><\/p>\n
