This initiative has become a long-standing tradition within Nutri-Lawn\u2019s team, loyal customers, and the wider community who come together to support those in need.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach year, our customers, along with friends and family, leave food and clothing donations on their doorsteps for us to pick up,\u201d says Boyd Loveless, Nutri-Lawn CEO. \u201cFrom canned goods and non-perishables to gently used clothing, we know these donations will make a huge difference in the lives of local families.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_26608\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26608\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img class=\"wp-image-26608\" src=\"https:\/\/salvationarmy.ca\/atlantic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/02\/team-at-breakfast.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"158\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26608\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nutri-Lawn team having breakfast before heading out for pick-ups<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On collection day this year, Nutri-Lawn\u2019s team of 26 staff started the day with a breakfast together before heading out on their route. With nearly 2,500 stops on this year\u2019s list, the team worked tirelessly to collect the donations, which all made their way to the Ches Penney Centre of Hope.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe food donations help stock the shelves at the Centre of Hope food bank, which currently sees over 900 families each month,\u201d says Major Steven Barrett, executive director at the Ches Penney Centre of Hope.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Clothing donations go to \u2018Grandma\u2019s Place,\u2019 a clothing closet at the Centre of Hope, which was named in honour of the grandmother of Boyd Loveless, Nutri-Lawn\u2019s owner. These clothes are given to clients and residents of the Centre of Hope and The Wiseman Centre.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_26606\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26606\" style=\"width: 223px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img class=\"wp-image-26606\" src=\"https:\/\/salvationarmy.ca\/atlantic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/02\/receipt-from-food-purchase-226x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"297\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26606\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Receipt from the grocery store purchase made with the monetary donations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This year, in addition to food and clothing, over $1,000 in cash donations was raised, which allowed Nutri-Lawn to purchase even more food for the food bank.<\/p>\n<p>Nutri-Lawn\u2019s partnership with The Salvation Army is a perfect example of how businesses can give back in meaningful ways. Their team\u2019s dedication, coupled with the generosity of their customers, has made this annual drive a foundation of their community outreach efforts.<\/p>\n<p>A big thank you goes out to Nutri-Lawn, their customers, and everyone involved for continuing to support this initiative. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of families across our community.
