Edmonton’s Grace Village Capital Campaign

When Grace Village opens it will be the realization of a long-held dream for The Salvation Army Alberta & Northern Territories Division. Grace Village will be built on land currently owned by The Salvation Army in Castle Downs (124th Street and 140th Avenue). Grace Village will bridge the gap between chronic homelessness and permanent housing in Edmonton, and will help people build the strength to break free of drug or alcohol addiction, giving hope for a better and brighter future.

Three key programs currently offered downtown will be moved, in whole or in part, to Grace Village:

• Transitional Housing: Short-term residential programs for a maximum of 70 adult men
• Transformations: In-patient addictions recovery program and residence for a maximum of 30 adult men
• Stepping Stone Supportive Residence: Housing and intensive support for a maximum of 72 adult women and men with addictions and mental health diagnosis

At Grace Village, people will be free from worry about where they live, enabling them to focus on the difficult work needed to transition back to health and into a permanent home. Grace Village will combine the professionalism and passion of The Salvation Army with the inherent power of community by moving away from the institutional model.
