Christmas Programs Around the Division

Christmas Kettle Campaign | November 20 – December 24 
Help us reach our $1.1 million goal this year by donating at a Kettle at one of our many locations across the city, or if you can spare a few hours at a kettle, please sign up to become a bell ringer at tsacalgarykettles.com.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age, or accompanied by an adult. Volunteering is a great way to introduce helping others to your kids or grandkids! Kettle donations stay local so that we can provide year-round programs and services that help transform lives here in Calgary.

Christmas Assistance Registration
New this year, all clients seeking assistance will go to our website at SalvationArmycalgary.org and sign up online. We will not be doing in-person intakes in our offices this year and will be encouraging everyone to attempt online registration themselves but can provide assistance over the phone when necessary. The registration has been translated into French and Spanish. They can do so by calling the Christmas hotline at 403-410-1158 and will be open starting Friday, October 16 and will open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Toy Angels

95.9 CHFM and CIR Realty are once again bringing smiles to the faces of children for the 26th Annual Toy Angels campaign and we thank them for their support!

Toy Angels is Calgary’s largest Christmas toy drive in support of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Toy Program. It helps families in need during the holiday season so they too can have a Merry Christmas. To inquire about being a recipient of the program, please contact the Salvation Army hotline at 403-410-1158.

As with everything, this year looks a little different; Toy Angels will be going virtual! Please click on the link below to pick from one of the following toy options to purchase for a family in need this year, or you can TEXT the word “TOYS” to 959959 and we will send you the direct link to donate!

They will be collecting online donations up until Sunday, December 20th. Toy Angels would not be possible without the help of these amazing sponsors CIR Realty Offices, Marlborough Mall, Westbrook Mall, Calgary Police Service, Rogers Stores.

We are currently not accepting volunteer bookings for Toy hamper packing. The process is being reviewed and more information will be provided in the coming weeks.

Angel Giving Tree Tags

For Christmas 2020, we will be hosting a Virtual Angel Tree program. The concept will remain the same as our standard Angel Tree program, but everything will be done online and allow contactless donations between us and our generous donors. To participate, you can purchase a toy online and have it shipped directly to our resource centre, where we can prepare it for distribution to families in need. This program anonymously matches sponsors with families or seniors (60+) in need, providing toys for kids 0-18 (if 18, must be in high school still), a gift for seniors, and a Christmas dinner food hamper or gift card. If you are in need of extra support in Drumheller this holiday season, we can help. Our Christmas registration is here again, but due to COVID restrictions we will be doing this by appointment only this year, it will be between November 16- 27 – 10-4 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. and open till 8 on Wednesday. please call the office at 403-823-2215 and book for a time. Distribution day will be Wednesday, December 16th.

If you are in need of Christmas support in Grande Prairie, we can help. Our Christmas registration is, here again, drop-in Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 11:45 am & 1:30 pm – 4:15pm. The application deadline is November 30th with Hamper pick-up dates running through December 7th to 18th.

Please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Photo I.D. for all household members
  • Proof of residency (e.g. driver’s license, utility bill, or lease etc.)
  • 60-day bank statement
