Family Day at The Salvation Army’s Centre of Hope in Calgary was a little extra-special this year. A roast beef dinner was served, but not just to their own residents. This year, residents invited friends and family, as well as the homeless from the community and other shelters. With the help of many helpful volunteers, 585 people were served in just 2 hours!

The Centre of Hope is a men’s residence in Calgary that offers over 300 beds for addictions recovery, emergency shelter, and transitional housing. These men have access to programs such as employment counselling and computer classes, to help stop the cycle of poverty. For more information, please call 403-410-1111.
