The residents at The Salvation Army’s Centre of Hope had an extra special opportunity February 3, 2015 when the Grey Cup was brought in by Calgary Stampeders Corey Mace, Robe Cote, and Rene Paredes. Residents could get their photo taken with Canadian Football’s top prize and the players, receive autographs, and enjoy some lunch. The event was also open to the public for a $20 donation.

“It was an amazing day, and we are blessed to have such a great relationship with the Calgary Stampeders,” says Captain Pam Goodyear, Divisional Secretary for Public Relations and Development. “Our clients were thrilled, and everyone left with huge smiles on their faces.”

The players were very approachable, allowing visitors to lift and kiss the cup, signing autographs, and just visiting with the residents. Definitely an event that everyone will remember!
