Elves and Santas and reindeer – oh my! The country banded together on Saturday December 6, 2014 to fight poverty and restore dignity in Canada at the 24th annual Santa Shuffle 5k Fun Run & 1k Elf Walk. 41 cities across the country took part, including Lethbridge, Red Deer, Calgary, and Edmonton, where over 1600 Shufflers came out to race. Crazy and elaborate costumes were everywhere, adding to the spirit of Christmas this event creates. Edmonton even had a Finish line proposal (she said yes, of course)!

The money raised goes to programs and services that give practical assistance to our most vulnerable, and our Division was able to contribute over $45,000 to this end. We hope everyone enjoyed the milder temperatures this year, and starts to think about their costumes for next year – we can’t wait to see them!

Thank you to everyone involved who made this event the success it is; the Running Room, our sponsors, volunteers, donors, supporters, partners – and most of all, our Shufflers. Together, we will continue to Give Hope Today.
